There isn’t a magic formula to saving big on cleaning costs. Sorry to disappoint. However, in our years—since 1949—of being a janitorial services company in the Portland area, we have found that the people who clean up after themselves the best are the ones that utilize janitorial services for deep cleaning and regular maintenance only. For that reason, this group of people tend to have overall lower costs on the day-to-day cleaning and maintenance since they maintain on their own.
A business manager who builds and sustains a culture of cleaning up after oneself should be able to maintain a tidy office space and only bring in janitorial services when deep cleaning or refilling of supplies is needed. Over the long-term, this can save a company a lot of money.
How have you saved money on cleaning costs?
