This summer is shaping up to be a much better version of the season than last year. As Oregon reaches its goal of 70% of the population vaccinated against COVID-19, the state has reopened and life has begun to take on some normalcy.

For that, we are all thankful, but along with the good news, the Centers for Disease Control has warned that it is monitoring COVID variants that have hit the shores of the U.S. and the public still needs to use caution to avoid another spike in COVID cases. While the CDC says current vaccinations appear to work against the latest variants, the verdict is still out on whether a vaccinated person can transmit the virus. Until we know better, cleaning, disinfecting, mask wearing, and being mindful in big crowds remain CDC recommendations to ensure our progress doesn’t start to slip.

Disinfect and Sanitize

The CDC and Oregon Health Authority continue to say that daily cleaning, particularly in high-touch areas, and regular disinfecting are key to keeping COVID-19 from spreading. We at  Myles O’Donnell & Company couldn’t agree more. As businesses reopen, from restaurants to shops to event venues, we can help you put your best face forward while keeping patrons safe from germs.

COVID-19 virus

The CDC specifies different methods for cleaning and disinfecting different things, like furniture, outdoor areas, and computers. It gets complicated to figure out what product works best where, how long to let it sit, and if it is safe. That’s why we think leaving the job to professionals makes the most sense. Our commercial cleaning service, coupled with HOCL fogging service takes away the guesswork so you can be sure you’re clean and safe for people to come through your doors.

HOCL or hypochlorous acid is a natural disinfectant that in fog form, permeates every nook and cranny and works on both hard and soft surfaces to kill 99.999% of bacteria, viruses, and pathogens. It’s natural so has the approval of the FDA, EPA, and USDA for use in food areas-those now super busy restaurants. In other words, it’s a workhorse that can bring peace of mind to any business knowing employees and customers are safe from COVID or any other lurking germs and bacteria.

Keep It Clean

HOCL fogging provides complete sanitizing, but in between those treatments, the best way to continue to thwart the spread of germs is to regularly clean high-touch areas, like door handles, light switches, restroom faucets, and toilets.

Myles O’Donnell & Company can work with you to create a cleaning schedule. Sanitizing and disinfecting is critical, but don’t forget that clean floors and counters are nice to have too. Now that you’ve reopened, contact us, and let’s work together to keep you open and enjoying a prosperous summer!
